Serge Aimé regularly collaborates with Marrugeku, as a co choreographer on Burning Daylight (2009) and Cut the Sky (2014). In 2017, in the framework of a three year programme initiated by Dalisa and Rachael, designed to give a foothold to a new generation of artists sensitive to this intercultural universe, he created the solo Miranda for Miranda Wheen, a dancer in the company.
2018 is a special year because New Caledonia will vote whether they will gain their independence or not.
At this time, at the request of Marrukegu and the Cultural Centre, Tjibaou (Nouméa), he choreographed Le Dernier Appel, a strong reflection on colonial cultural heritage, and the possibilities to refuse parts of it, to find a history inked in the soil.
He is also regularly invited as a choreographer for the Indigenous Intercultural Choreographic Laboratories (Laboratoires Chorégraphiques Interculturels Indigènes), organised by the company.
